The Oluf Høst Museum owns an extensive collection of Oluf Høst’s paintings exhibited in the very place where they were created. Each year we also present two new special exhibitions, one in Høst’s villa and the other in his summer studio, which is situated in the museum’s attractive rock garden.
A unique museum in the artists' former home
In 2023, the Oluf Høst Museum celebrates its 25th anniversary. On this occasion, we will show the exhibition HØST IN BERLIN — towards an international breakthrough? In this exhibition, works of Oluf Høst are reunited with those of his contemporaries, after their joint display at the Nationalgalerie in Berlin, 1932. Høst’s summer studio has been transformed into a complex installation, consisting of a mural and a series of new sculptures by the internationally acclaimed visual artist, Michael Kvium.
